Basel IV (CRR III & CRD VI) Implementation Workshop | Strengthening Capital and Liquidity Management

Join us in Paris, France, for a two-day Basel IV – Capital and Liquidity Requirements programme that offers a clear and practical overview of the prudential reforms introduced in the European Union through CRR III and CRD VI. Designed for professionals in finance, risk, audit, and regulation, this workshop explains how Basel IV is reshaping capital, liquidity, and risk-management requirements across EU banking markets.

Participants gain a strong understanding of the updated frameworks for credit, market, and operational risk. They also learn the revised capital and liquidity rules. As a result, they can interpret regulatory expectations more effectively and apply the reforms with confidence.

The Basel IV framework—formally Basel III: Finalising post-crisis reforms—introduces major updates to how banks measure credit, market, and operational risk. It also changes the calculation of CVA and risk-weighted assets (RWA). In the European Union, most CRR III and CRD VI rules take effect from 1 January 2025. In addition, the FRTB market-risk framework is scheduled for 2026, although a further extension is under discussion.

The United Kingdom will implement Basel 3.1 from 1 January 2027. Moreover, key trading-book elements will phase in around 2028. Full transition is expected to run to 2030. These reforms affect capital adequacy, output-floor calculations, SA-CCR, model approvals, and supervisory expectations.

This hands-on workshop explains each core Basel IV reform. You will explore the revised Standardised Approach, limits on IRB models, the 72.5% Output Floor, and the full FRTB market-risk framework. You will also review the updated leverage ratio, the new CVA rules, and key liquidity standards such as the LCR and NSFR. Finally, case studies and worked examples help you interpret supervisory expectations and translate Basel IV rules into practical compliance and capital-management strategies.

Key Learning Features
